MEMOTEXT Mental Health Check-in and Supports
By: Amos Adler M.Sc.
LETS FACE IT, ITS BEEN A CHALLENGING YEAR
March 11, was the one-year anniversary of the WHO declaring COVID-19 to be a global pandemic.
Lockdowns, news cycles, doom scrolling…We’re tired. Well at least, I’m tired. It’s challenging being inspired at the moment. It’s also challenging inspiring others at the moment. I see it and hear it in many conversations. We hear ‘it’s ok to not be ok’, and how we need to take care of ourselves and be self-compassionate and shift the paradigms and do all the mental health things. But it seems like just yet more to-do’s on the list…
SO MUCH TO HANDLE!?
REMEMBER TO: | |
Take care of yourself | WTF is for dinner?! |
Emails, texts, socials, Slack, Teams, Zoom |
Strategic goals & objectives |
Finances | Teammates |
Go for a walk! | Workout |
Kids and partners! | Homeschool!! |
Parents/Grandparents | Vaccines |
oh and yes remember to take care of your mental health.
There are an overwhelming number of options in mental health interventions, supports and benefits. A never-ending stream of virtual, on-demand mental health care, validated digital therapeutics and online supports.
We’re working on an intervention to reduce that overwhelm. To help you where you’re at mentally, physically, digitally. With a quick checkin, making recommendations and helping you navigate available mental health resources that are relevant to YOU and what you are eligible for through work. Co-created with CAMH and the University of Saskatchewan we’re leveraging the Be SaskWell tool for use with employers, schools and healthcare organizations to help employees and members find the right mental health tool, support and benefits available to them.
