On Monday morning,
MEMOTEXT’s
Founder and President Amos Adler and
PerformRx’s Director of Drug Therapy Management Programs & Outcomes Lauren C. Megargell, had the honor to jointly present the results of our
HealthNHandSM asthma adherence program to the The Digital Transformation of Patient Care: New Avenues for Pharma Growth Seminar. The seminar was organized by the Consulate General of Canada in New York’s
Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) Health IT Philadelphia as part of
BIO2015.
Developed by PerformRx in conjunction with MEMOTEXT, the digital health intervention works on any mobile or digital platform and reminds patients to take their asthma medications. HealthNHand
SM uses personalized information, targeted support and daily air quality forecasts, generated for each patient based on their data, to assist patients in maintaining their adherence and improving their overall health and wellbeing. While the results are still confidential, Amos and Lauren were pleased to announce that the findings were extremely positive. HealthNHand
SM is currently offered to Medicare patients through
AmeriHealthDC.
Highlights of the event included a welcome speech by Counsel General John F. Prato, and the other panel presentations. Jessica Keenan Smith of Living Well with Epilepsy and Leslie Jamison of Self Care Catalysts Inc. presented their digital self-care intervention. Their Epilepsy Storylines app helps Epilepsy patients manage their self-care by aggregating real world patient data. Didier Jean-Francois and Hacking-Health CEO Luc Sirois spoke on ‘Best Practices in Digital Health for Pharma Implementation’. Coming from the pharma and digital health perspectives, they explained how both stakeholders can best strategize and implement an intervention. Lastly, Darren Sudman of Simon’s Fund and Jeff Chemeres of Pulse Infoframe Inc explained how digital health data is increasingly used as an educational tool for Patients, Physicians and Pharma.
MEMOTEXT was delighted to attend the event and present a case study in both a successful and collaborative digital mobile health intervention with our partners PerformRx. We were also proud to share the stage with other groundbreaking Canadian and Philadelphia based digital health innovators.
